For those of us who have been watching... it's been one thing after another, of course.
I recently went back through Pol. Cartoons at the Post site, and fondly remembered the Summer of 2001, when he was sliding into the 40s and nothing seemed to work. The honeymoon with "anybody but a Democrat" was already fading, it seemed.
Since then, it's been one pile of wool after another across the public eye.

Now, the only hard part is for me not to scream when I read or here people having second thoughts about whether they could have been this underhanded.

Sorry, I find it difficult to restrain my glee.
Bush is going to go on Vacation, which means they also won't use the FAKE ORANGE ALERT to divert attention... cuz then he'd have to get back in the office.
I blogged and wrote diaries, pre-war, wondering how that time compared to the '67-'68. It was (is) miserable to live through another divisive period.
But I never thought I'd get to feel the exhilaration (this may not be quite apt, but... I'm exhilarated) of what my father described when reading th Watergate/Hersh/Ellsberg stories.
I refer to it on my blog as a Passion Play, but that's because it was late last night. It's really Aeschylus. Bobby quoted the Greek, after Dr. King was killed, - about learning from sorrow.
These clowns at 1600 will never learn.
